 On Saturday we headed to the arrival of "Sinterklaas" (dutch version of Santa). The kids loved it!! He arrives on a boat and then...

...jumps on a white horse to ride through the city. With his black helpers, he seems a bit of a racist, but we (the Dutch) tell everyone they are not slaves, but they are actually friends and the black helpers voluntarily work for him!?! Here's a great comedians view on this!

So after all this folklore, we needed some nice lunch...

Sunday was the day of the storm. With winds of 40 to 50 knots, I was glad I just received my 3.7 Superfreak Maui Edition. Great day to test it ;-)

This is the only action shot I have, it was made by Richard with his butt view cam, as he calls it ;-) I am the one "flying" in the back.

Should be windy tomorrow.... But I'm prepared ;-)

Should be good at first light tomorrow morning. So off to bed early tonight!

Looked out of my office window and saw this beauty of a sunset. After seeing the new 007 yesterday "Skyfall" was the perfect title ;-)

Big wave season has started in Europe as well. Already saw some sweet pics of BZH at 'the big flik', from Pierre-Yves. But also Garrett McNamara has traveled to Nazaré again to chase the biggest waves ever ridden. This video is of a day Ke11y was there and was towed in by McNamara.

One of the nicest pics I've ever seen of windsurfing! Would be nice to know who made it though....

Today I only had a bit of time in the afternoon. So THE moment to finally check out the Maasvlakte after it was reopened in May of this year. I heard a lot of good news from there lately, so I was expecting nice conditions. It turned out to be a bit of a dissapointment. Maybe because it was high tide, but it was just a big shorebreak and almost no waves behind it. Just a few big ones here or there. So after 2 hours with the cold, the rain and the wind dying, it was time to call it a day.

On my way home I spot this nice rainbow..

Now time for dinner and another one of these sweeeeet deserts ;-)
